122 - From Confused To Complete: If You Open The Story Loop, Close It!

Common courtesy - if you open a toilet lid, remember to close it ;) The same kind of principle goes for storytelling! If you leave a story loop open, close it, otherwise you are leaving your customer/client/audience confused & with a bad taste in their mouth, and who wants that?

Imagine reading a book you like & are invested in, and then closing it halfway through and never reading it again… How does it end!? 

In today’s episode, I will be sharing two examples of when the story loop was left open and its consequences - 1. when I told a story on stage, and 2., in regards to a long-running TV series (still not over it!) In both cases, the audience was left hanging, and well, totally confused!

If you want your audience to feel complete, satisfied, and coming back for more, don’t forget the importance of closing the story loop! But, HOW do we close it, you may ask? Stay tuned, because that’s what we will be chatting about in the next episode! :)
